Crop 2006
Pistachio farmers will start harvesting new crop from beginning Sept. 2006 and it would be ready for shipment by beginning Oct.
Parts of new crop have been already damaged by frost during last March in some producing areas. The main damage affected "Jumbo" variety, therefore "Jumbo 18/20, 20/22, 22/24" will be less than crop 2005.
It looks Total new crop would be around 170,000 MT.In this case it should be almost same as last year's.

According to the Iran Customs information; 141,600 MT. pistachios have exported during last Iranian year ( March 22, 2005 – March 22, 2006) to 75 different countries.
